My bench has been seeing A LOT of action lately! I have been keeping busy melting metal and throwing together color combos that are inspired by one of my favorite places in the world.....Ras Mohammad Reef on the southern coast of the Sinai in Egypt.
This is one of the places that you DREAM about as a diver.....shear wall drop offs, rich & abundant reefs, huge whale sharks cruising by, walls of schooling fish.....this place keeps me up at night.....fantasizing about & aching to get back too.
But it goes deeper than just diving in such an incredibly thrilling environment.
When I think of the Sinai.......my mind and senses are overloaded with memories of the beautiful Bedouin children, the calls to prayer that flood through the towns over speakers, the awe of watching a sun rise on Mount Sinai, sleeping in the sand under a blanket of desert stars.......
I am in complete awe at how raw, beautiful, & magical this place is........crossing my fingers to get back soon!
